NVN Collaborative R&D Competition
This Niche Vehicle Network competition forms part of the £20m funding by the Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles (OZEV) for innovative, zero-emission electric vehicle and infrastructure projects. The competition streams are:
- EV challenge – consisting of Innovative Charging and Early Stage R&D
- Late stage R&D – production readiness

Innovate UK Smart Grants: January 2021
Opportunity for UK registered organisations to apply for a share of up to £25 million from Innovate UK to deliver game-changing and commercially viable R&D innovation that can significantly impact the UK economy.
Award – Projects of 6 – 18 months must have total eligible project costs between £25,000 and £500,000 and can be single or collaborative. Projects of 19 – 36 months must have total eligible project costs between £25,000 and £2 million and must be collaborative.

The UK government has announced that the UK will continue to associate with Horizon Europe, the EU research and innovation programme that will run from 2021 to 2027.
Association will give UK scientists, researchers and businesses access to funding under the programme on equivalent terms as organisations in EU countries.
Researchers, businesses, and innovators in the UK and worldwide can therefore continue to work together in establishing global consortia to bid for funding.
