Husarion bring autonomous robots to the masses

Level Five Supplies is pleased to announce a new supplier partnership with Husarion, specialists in autonomous robot platforms for research and education, and developers of software tools that enable you to connect your robots over the internet.

Founded by a group of graduates from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow in 2013, the Husarion team consists of people with expertise in different engineering fields, such as; hardware design, embedded software programming, web and mobile applications development and secure device connectivity. They are a young, talented and enthusiastic team of engineers who love developing robots and helping others to do the same.

Democratisation of technology

“Creating a simple robot is not a big deal anymore,” said Dominik Nowak, CEO at Husarion “But is such a robot something that can help you in your everyday life? If you compare it with a Tesla car, with dozens of advanced sensors, cameras and powerful computers it seems questionable. There’s still a huge gap between toy robots and real autonomous robots that can be useful on their own. The main drivers of this gap are cost, advanced technologies and the skills required to build such sophisticated solutions.”

“Now imagine the world where building autonomous vehicles is democratised, where all makers who previously built Arduino based robots will be able to prototype their autonomous solutions using the newest technologies developed by a large community of engineers around the world.”

“At Husarion we believe that true innovation is possible through the democratisation of technology. Technology that allows to affordably prototype and build modern, autonomous, intelligent robots, drones and transportation systems, should be accessible to everyone”

This belief led to the creation of ROSbot 2.0 and ROSbot 2.0 PRO. – innovative, hackable, affordable autonomous robot platforms with robust mechanics, powerful computers, advanced sensors like LiDAR and RGBD cameras, and plenty of expansion ports. The platforms also give you access to Husarnet, allowing you to outsource robot computing power to your laptop or external servers, no matter where they are, meaning a lack of computing power will no longer be a problem.

“Husarion’s robots are the ideal entry-point for automation, mobile mapping, and prototyping with autonomous programmable wheeled robotics, ” said Alex Lawrence-Berkeley, CEO of Level Five Supplies, “We are confident they’ll be popular across our academic and commercial customer base.”
