The Advanced Ultrasonic Sensor TS 3 Evaluation Set is designed to guide you through the process of understanding and usage of advanced ultrasonic sensor technology.  In addition to the TS 3 Kit basic lab setup, the Evaluation Set package contains an Arduino based area detection example application with modifiable code to accelerate the implementation of the TS 3 into your own evaluation applications.

Description

TS3 is an evaluation system to explore a new type of ultrasonic sensor.  It allows you to perceive your immediate environment in 3D, navigate around mirrors and transparent surfaces, and handle dynamic objects in busy environments. With a 160° x 160° field of view, TS3 gives robots the ability to localise themselves in predefined maps, execute complex path-planning algorithms, and locate all objects within a 5 m range. Sensor parameters may be adapted to suit the application. 

Technology

Toposens’ 3D Echolocation Sensor works by combining the time of flight principle of conventional ultrasonic sensors with triangulation and advanced signal processing algorithms.

3D Echolocation Sensor sends out an ultrasonic pulse >>> the pulse is reflected by surrounding objects and received by microphones on the sensor >>> when the echo arrives at the microphones the echo origins are calculated as 3D coordinates.

Please note that due to the high average transaction costs, we must adhere to Anti-money laundering legislation.  For new customers, this comes into effect when the transaction value is more than £8,800 (or equivalent in USD or EUR).

Shipping

Shipping by default is by FedEx and typically takes from one to five working days worldwide.  All packages are fully insured from us to you.

Our incoterms are DDP (for UK customers) and DAP (for international customers, including EU).  Other incoterms may be available on request in special circumstances.

Goods can also be collected from our logistics centre.
