Ramping up our online activity

The new look Level Five Supplies homepage

With business environment changes come necessary business adaptations, so we’ve brought forward one of our projects for 2020, which we had previously planned to deliver over the summer, and turned on our online ordering platform, along with several other useful features and functions so that we can better serve you, our customers.

Of course, this has been preceded by lots of preparation, and the team busily (after initially joining the company!) getting all the other systems and processes in place so that we can be more nimble, work cohesively and meet the high bar of service that our customers should expect to receive.

Online ordering

Although the website appeared as if we offered online ordering previously, we were only using the website to list products.  Now, we can take payment from most credit cards (real or virtual) online, and deliver via our shipping partners at FedEx, to most countries.

Customer Wishlist

The Wishlist functionality was there previously, however now you can share your list with others, items can easily be transferred into the shopping cart, or as a formal quote request.  Our sales team can also look at your wishlists by your unique reference, enabling them to help you select what you need, or check your choices for your project or particular application.

Estimate request

Many customers require a formal quote to raise a purchase order, get budget approval, or build in their obligations when developing a tender, bid or grant application.  Automating this allows people to generate quotes more easily, while still providing us with a good understanding of what customer needs are.

Online chat

Do you have technical questions about whether or not a product is suitable for your application?  That’s OK – you can now, in working hours, chat with a member of our team through the website.

Finance options

Apart from online ordering, we’re continuing to offer a range of finance options, including; payment by BACS transfer, with invoice and credit options for regular customers or larger orders (over £10,000).

Customer reviews

As part of our journey towards ISO 9001 accreditation, we’re adding in customer feedback gathering – this will be behind the scenes and not visible on the website, but it’s still a process that we’re pleased to get up and running, and integrated with our other systems.

New products

We’ve removed some less popular products and have also added several new suppliers to reflect changes in the business environment and where we’re seeing a more natural fit with our customer base and marketing efforts, including a range of UAV hardware from Digital Eagle, fantastic radar systems from SmartMicro, and others that match the requirements of our exacting customer needs.

New services

The team will soon be joined by a Senior Robotics Engineer, so will be able to provide far more in-depth integration services.

Anti-money laundering compliance

We have placed a ‘hard stop’ on transactions over the €10,000 limit set by Anti-money laundering regulations in the UK and EU. Customers can pay in advance (if completing our ‘Know Your Customer’ form), or if needing credit, they can complete our ‘Credit Account Application Form’.

“I feel the need, the need for speed!”

Although ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ will have to wait until after the pandemic, we are fully aware that the website has been a little sluggish as we’ve built up the business, so we’re streamlining the larger media items and will spend some time tuning performance so the website is faster for customers on all devices.
