What Are Your Autonomous Vehicle Technology Needs?

behind the scenes at westfield autonomous vehicles

As we accelerate through our launch phase, it’s been really satisfying to speak with so many innovative suppliers, and of course potential customers, all over the world over the past few months.

These conversations have strongly influenced how we’ll be operating, and the services we’ll be providing here in the UK, across Europe and naturally further afield, in North America and later, in Asia.

As we planned last year, we are now working with a broad variety of technology developers who have a remarkable breadth of experience across the autonomous driving space, so while you might see a small handful of products now listed on the website, rest assured we can access far more.

We’ve also secured a brilliant distribution partner whose expertise in managing international logistics with vehicle hardware and technology is second to none, and our senior team, who are among the most experienced autonomous and automotive people you could fit into a meeting room, are all excited about the next steps on our journey.

We’ll have more news over the coming few months in the first half of 2019, including the first community project we’ll be supporting in our home town of Frome, Somerset, new suppliers being confirmed, and partners whose services and expertise deserve to take pride-of-place as flagship products in our developing range.

To that end, I would like to invite you to get in touch about what your needs are over the coming months. Are you planning a research project, struggling with finding the right drive-by-wire solution, or updating your vehicle budget? Does your application require LiDAR but you’re not sure which sensors or perception software would be the best fit? We can help, bringing you access and advice from suppliers, proven products and tried-and-tested automotive industry approaches.

Having spent some quality time with our board members and one of our advisors in London last week, at and around the MOVE 2019 event, I was reminded through several conversations with other friends from around the sector that actually sharing information and trying to support other people is not just valuable for business networking, but it doesn’t cost anything.

If you want to have a conversation about what you’re already working on, or maybe just have something to share, then reach out for a chat. We are all very friendly!
