Level Five Supplies Apprenticeship programme

Level Five Supplies understand that the future success of the business, and indeed the continued growth of the high-tech industry as a whole, is reliant on the next generation of engineers. With this in mind, the company is committing to aspiring engineers’ educational development by launching an apprenticeship programme.

As a continued mark of sustainable growth, we are pleased to promote a new vacancy which will begin later this year. The role, for someone 18+ years of age, will combine on-the-job training and work with an accredited college training programme delivered by Wiltshire College in Chippenham.

Developing the local workforce

The position will be part of the all-new engineering and integration department, offering the opportunity to develop the skills for a professional career within the fascinating, rapidly evolving robotics eco-system.

“It’s a real measure of how quickly we have grown as a company that we are able to continue creating new jobs in Frome,” said Alex Lawrence-Berkeley, CEO of Level Five Supplies, “this new position is a commitment to developing the local workforce and will itself help support and create other roles as we continue our expansion.”

Engineering technician apprenticeship details

The apprentice will support robotics integration projects, working on a wide range of vehicles, from drones to wheeled robots and autonomous cars as we respond to customer demands, as well as start developing our own products.

Working within the Engineering department, this role will include:

  • Building electrical and electronic systems from kits
  • Wiring
  • Basic design
  • Testing and diagnosis
  • Supporting senior members of the team in maintaining the workshop spaces and equipment

Some interest or experience in electronics and engineering is useful.

Apart from college attendance (1-2 days per week), there will be plenty of opportunities for additional learning, and later on, potential for travel to support customers.  As such, the applicant should have a full driving licence and passport.
