We’d like to introduce Flavien David, who joined Level Five Supplies as an Engineering Intern last month. Flavien has been working closely with fellow intern Kshitija Dhamale, who joined us back in September. Fresh out of university, Flavien has an HND in Instrumentation & Measurement, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Vision and two Postgraduate Certificates in Computer Vision and Robotics, Autonomous & Interactive Systems.
“Working for Level Five is a fresh start and my first opportunity after university,” says Flavien. “Alongside my studies I spent almost 10 years working in hospitality and thanks to that experience, I developed excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. I think of myself as a self-driven, creative and open-minded person.”
Flavien received an award for innovation during his HND, where he was head of three different student unions. While studying for his Bachelor’s Degree, he was involved in building a startup that offers training and research around robotics, 3D printing and smart sensors.
Since joining Level Five, Flavien has been working in sales, admin and quality control; getting to know the product range and attending industry events such as the UAV show in London and Bot-Talks in Bristol. He has also been working on the Donkey Car project with Kshitija. “We encountered plenty of challenges to keep us busy for a month, but we are now able to drive the car autonomously within the Donkey Car framework,” he says.
Ever the adventurer, Flavien has visited nine countries and four continents in the last two years and is passionate about AIDS action and awareness. When he isn’t tinkering with technology, he loves food, music, mixology, trekking and road trips. We’re thrilled to welcome Flavien to the Level Five team and look forward to putting all that knowledge to good use!
